Adrenocorticotropic Hormone (ACTH) -A hormone that stimulates Cortisone and regulates steroid hormones
Adrenal Gland – A gland near the kidneys that secret the hormone Cortisol to help the body respond to stress and regulates blood pressure
Benign TumourA non cancerous Tumor that grows and can be just as rapid in growth causing more issues and effecting different areas

CT Computer Tomography. An X-ray Scan used to examine organs using a computer  for doctors to analyze symptoms further
Endocrine SystemA system of glands that secrete Hormones throughout the Human Body to regulate functions of  endocrine organs
Endocrine GlandsPineal Gland, Pituitary Gland, Thyroid Gland, Adrenal Gland, Pancreas, Ovary, Testis
Endocrinologist- A doctor who specializes in treating hormone imbalances and problems in the endocrine system
Follicle – Stimulating – Hormone (FSH) – Controls Estrogen produced by the ovaries
Growth Hormone (GH) – A secreting hormone that stimulates height, bone length and muscle growth
Hormone Levels- These are measured via a bloodtest to check the regualrity or irregularity of secreting hormones in the endocrine system
Hyperprolactinaemia- is having too high levels of Prolactin in the blood
Luteinizing Hormone (LH) – Controls the menstrual cycle, ovulation and production of Progesterone and Estrogen
Macro-adenoma – a Tumour larger than 10 mm in diameter
Micro-adenoma - a Tumour less than 10 mm in diameter
MRI- Magnetic Resonance Imaging. A magnetic 3-dimentional scan to produce more indepth images of soft tissue, nervous system, the brain and spine
Pituitary Adenoma - A benign tumor that begins to form in the Pituitary Gland
Pituitary Gland - A small endocrine gland attached to the base of the brain located behind the optic nerves
Prolactin (PRL)- A hormone secreted while pregnant, breastfeeding and lactation
Transsphenoidal Surgery - Surgery performed through the nose into part of the brain to remove pituitary tumours
Thyroid Gland - A gland in your throat, near your windpipe and voicebox that secretes hormones to control metabolism and body growth
Thyroid-Stimulating Hormone (TSH) – A secreting hormone that stimulates thyroid growth to control metabolism and regular body growth

(Please note that this information is only given as a guide, and from my own personal experiences with these health issues. This word terminology has helped me when unsure about what something is and I would like to share this information in hope to help others suffering from similar conditions in search of answers.)
