As I continue on my health journey I have been keeping occupied, from the various side effects of my treatment, by working on a few art pieces.
Art Therapy is ideal to help express any thoughts, feelings and emotions. As a self taught artist it certainly has helped me through many ups and downs in my journey, and allowed me to learn new skills when I have needed time to focus on healing.
Over the many years I have used various mediums including, pencils, charcoal, graphite, oil paint, acrylic paint, art and craft and scrapbooking with paper and texture. Over the last 2 years I have been working with a new medium Wool. The flexibility of this medium and the endless ideas I have created has allowed me to created 2d and 3d pieces.
To expand my art skills and as a new challenge for myself I taught myself to knit right handed (being a left hander). Also in the last 2 months I have expanded my skills again by teaching myself the art of crochet using my right hand (being a left hander).
Here are a few of my pieces over my healing journey with Toll-Art.
