Transsphenoidal Surgery got canceled and rescheduled for January 25, 2007. I was so relieved receiving this news so as I could then look forward to enjoying a nice and lovely get together with my family and friends for Christmas and New Years before this life changing event. This gave me a bit more time to prepare myself for the Transsphenoidal Surgery and my stay in hospital. As I have a huge fear of needles I needed to buy some Emla Cream and Emla Patches to take with me as I would be getting quite a few injections or test performed during my stay in hospital. I also had a few things to sort out prior to my admission. My Drivers Licence was up for renewal and this required a new photo. Rather than getting a photo after the Transsphenoidal Surgery where my face may be a bit swollen or there may be some bruising I went a couple of weeks before Transsphenoidal Surgery to get my photo taken for a decent photo.
In early November I received the letter in the mail with my scheduled date for Transsphenoidal Surgery in December and pre-admission appointment in November, explaining the procedure involved and information I needed prior to admission for my scheduled Transsphenoidal Surgery. I spent the next 2 months preparing for surgery, and my stay in hospital. Getting clothes packed, buying toiletries, reading material, music and any other items I may require in hospital. Also discussing with Jeremy and my family what to prepare for when I am admitted to hospital, before Transsphenoidal Surgery , and after Transsphenoidal Surgery , time in hospital, who is taking me to the hospital, staying with me in the recovery room and when I leave hospital for my recovery, as I will not be able to do much after Transsphenoidal Surgery .
