I visited my local GP and after several consultations I wasn’t getting any answers. Then when my menstrual cycle had ceased for 12 months and having several pregnancy tests and bloodtest, with a bit of persuasion from family I decide I should consult a female GP to see if it’s more of an issue. I made an appointment with another local GP to get a females perspective on these womens health issues. I had an appointment with the local GP to discuss these symptoms further. During the consultation with the local doctor I explained to her my history of health concerns included my current health issues. With my menstrual cycle irregular since the age of 12, occurring every 3-4 months, and 12 months ago (all of 2004) my cycle ceased altogether. This was quite unusual for a 22 year old female and the local doctor was quite concerned and said this must require further investigation. She sent me for a Pelvic Ultrasound, another pregnancy test and a bloodtest to check the activity of my hormone functions in search of answers.
